I don't want to offend you, but recently I noticed that the drivers for the Realtek High Definition Audio sound card of my laptop are no longer updated. The latest Realtek High Definition Audio driver on the Realtek website is dated 2017, and the latest driver version for my laptop is 6.0.1.8619 (release date 15.01.2019) downloaded from the HP website.

Where can I download the updated drivers for the Realtek sound card?

@Bratanoid,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

What I would do is to download and run Intel's "Driver & Support Assistant" and allow this utility software to determine the best driver for you.  You can download from here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18002/intel-driver-support-assistant.html.

Hope this was helpful.

I wrote a question about a sound card from Realtek. Have you read the question and explanation carefully?

@Bratanoid,

Yes, I happened to read your previous post very carefully indeed.

Point is, my friend, that according to HP, you already got the most recent Realtek driver (6.0.1.8619) :

I don't necessarily believe that, hence my reference to Intel's Driver & Support Assistant (DSA). This utility program, if you didn't know it, does download (updated) Realtek drivers.

There is a newer Realtek driver version (6.0.1.8642) as seen here: Microsoft Update Catalog, but it is unclear to me which version is the right one for you, or even if this version is recommended for your laptop in the first place.

Hence, either rely on HP or run Intel's DSA.
