Everything worked fine in Windows 10, but then I upgraded to Windows 11. Now when the computer returns from sleep, the audio on the monitor doesn't work. It's connected up to a Benq EW32800U via the supplied USB cable, and like I said, everything worked FINE until Windows 11.
When the problem happens, the audio comes out of the laptop speakers instead, and it's not a simple case of selecting a different output - in order to fix this problem, I have to go into Device Manager, open up Intel(R) Display Audio, and click 'Disable' then 'Enable', and the the problem is fixed until the next time the laptop sleeps.
Obviously everything is up to date - drivers and all that. I've done all the suggestions from Intel about getting and installing the latest drivers, and all that idiocy about deleting the old drivers first until it's back to some Microsoft default. Nothing worked. Benq suggest the same nonsense. IT WORKED IN WINDOWS 10.
Anyone had that problem? Fixed it? Please do share the method.
