I have a wireless headset with a microphone, it connects to my device through a usb dongle. I have tested this headset with another windows laptop to make sure that it works. But when I connect it to my laptop it continues to say that the microphone doesn't work. I have updated my drivers and scanned my laptop for any other updates, and it hasn't changed anything. I have contacted Microsoft support and after quite a bit of trouble shooting they found that the issue isn't related to the operating system. Can anybody assist me with this issue?

Update: I have reset the laptop and set all my applications up again and still the microphone isn't working. And I have mode certain that the mic does indeed work by using it on a different device
