Microsoft Windows 11

After updating to Windows 11, after some time, I updated the drivers for the Realtek audio driver and the B&O application stopped working, and the driver version is the same as the HP driver site offers me, but this does not affect the operation of the application, it not only does it not let me listen to music in good quality, but this also affects my experience in online games, I lost the choice of audio in the game, although before there was a choice from various sound spaces (Apex Legends game, the choice was from stereo, 5.1 and 7.1) and because of this, the sound in the game became terrible. Tried various solutions to the problems, including a clean install of Windows, reinstalling drivers, but none of these worked for me. I ask for help, as I have not been able to fix this problem for a very long time.

Hi @Kazymoto,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand that you're experiencing issues with the B&O (Bang & Olufsen) application and your Realtek audio driver after updating the driver. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve this issue.

Roll Back the Driver Update: If you're certain that the B&O application was working fine before the driver update, you can try rolling back to the previous driver version. To do this, follow these steps:

a. Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."

b. Expand the "Sound, video and game controllers" section.

c. Right-click on the Realtek audio driver and select "Properties."

d. Go to the "Driver" tab and click on "Roll Back Driver" if this option is available. If it's grayed out, this means you can't roll back to a previous driver version.

e. If rolling back isn't possible, you can try uninstalling the current Realtek driver and then download and install an older version from HP's website. Be sure to restart your computer after the installation.

Update B&O Software: Sometimes, the issue might be with the B&O application itself. Check if there's an update available for the B&O software. You can usually find updates on the official HP support website or within the B&O application settings.

Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Sometimes, Windows updates can address compatibility issues with drivers and applications.

Reinstall B&O Application: If the above steps don't work, you can try uninstalling the B&O application and then reinstalling it. To uninstall, go to "Apps & Features" in Windows settings, find the B&O application, and click "Uninstall." Afterward, download and install the latest version of the B&O application from the official HP website.

Remember to back up your important data before making significant changes to your system, such as rolling back drivers or reinstalling applications. Additionally, create a system restore point before making any major changes so you can easily revert if needed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
