Hi @villain12

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that the HP Pro c640 Chromebook (9WL21AV) is currently running Windows 11, but the audio and touchpad are not working. You also receive a message during Windows reinstallation stating that the PC must support TPM 2.0.

Since this is a Chromebook model, Windows 11 compatibility and the availability of Windows drivers can differ from a standard HP Windows notebook. The TPM message may also be related to the device’s firmware/security configuration rather than necessarily indicating a hardware failure.

To better understand the issue, could you please confirm:

  • Did the audio and touchpad ever work correctly in Windows 11, or have they never worked since installation?
  • How was Windows 11 installed on the Chromebook—was the original ChromeOS firmware replaced/modified, or was Windows installed using another method?
  • In Device Manager, are there any devices listed with a yellow exclamation mark, particularly under Sound, video and game controllers, Human Interface Devices, or System devices?
  • Does the TPM error appear when performing a Windows 11 installation, or when trying to reinstall/reset Windows from within the existing installation?

If possible, please provide the exact TPM error message or a photo of the screen.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
