Hi @sennavv,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing audio issues on your HP Pavilion x360 laptop after updating to Windows 11, you can try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem.

Check Audio Output Device:

  • Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings."
  • Ensure that the correct output device (e.g., speakers or headphones) is selected as the default playback device.

Restart Your Laptop:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve audio issues caused by minor glitches.

Update Audio Drivers:

  • Outdated or incompatible audio drivers can cause audio problems. Visit the HP support website and download the latest audio drivers for your laptop model.

Windows Update:

  • Make sure Windows 11 is up to date. Sometimes, Microsoft releases updates that fix audio issues.

Check Mute and Volume Settings:

  • Verify that the volume is not muted and is set to an appropriate level.

Run Troubleshooter:

  • Windows has a built-in audio troubleshooter that can automatically detect and fix common audio problems. To access it, go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters, and select "Playing Audio."

Check for Third-Party Sound Control Software:

  • Sometimes, third-party audio control software can interfere with the built-in Windows audio settings. Try disabling or uninstalling any such software temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Ensure that your headphones or external speakers are functioning correctly by testing them on another device. If they work on another device, the issue might be with the laptop's audio hardware.

Roll Back Windows Update:

  • If the audio issues started immediately after a Windows update, you can try rolling back to the previous version of Windows to see if that resolves the problem. Go to Settings > Windows Update > Recovery > Go back to the previous version of Windows.

Restore or Reset Windows:

  • If none of the above solutions work, you might consider restoring Windows to a previous point (if you have a system restore point) or resetting Windows to its factory settings. This should be a last resort, as it will remove your installed programs and personal files.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
