My hp paviion 15-cw1004la laptop sounds cut off, it doesn't even come off with headphones or speakers, I already did everything the virtual assistant tells you, I already did what was proposed in another community conversation and I haven't been able to solve anything and I also watched many videos to try to solve it and it still didn't help, I don't know what to do anymore, help 😞

Hi @Rodrigo_C130,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating that you've already tried so many fixes for the audio issue on your HP Pavilion 15 laptop with no success. Since you’ve covered the basics, let’s try a few advanced troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the problem.

Check Device Manager for Audio Drivers

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
  • Right-click on your audio device (e.g., Realtek or similar) and choose Uninstall device. Ensure that you also select Delete the driver software for this device.
  • After uninstalling, restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the correct driver. If not, you may need to download the audio driver manually from the HP website.

Reinstall Audio Drivers Manually

  • Go to the official HP Support Page.
  • Enter your laptop model and search for the latest audio drivers.
  • Download and install the driver, then restart your laptop.

Run the Windows Audio Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  • Run the Playing Audio troubleshooter and follow any recommendations.

Check Audio Services

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll down to Windows Audio and ensure it is running. If not, right-click and choose Start.
  • Do the same for Windows Audio Endpoint Builder.

Disable Audio Enhancements

  • Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Sound Settings.
  • Under Advanced, find your audio output device (speakers or headphones).
  • Click Device Properties > Additional Device Properties.
  • In the new window, go to the Enhancements tab and check Disable all sound effects or Disable audio enhancements.
  • Click Apply and OK.

Update BIOS/Chipset Drivers

  • Outdated BIOS or chipset drivers can sometimes cause audio issues.
  • Go to the HP website, download the latest BIOS and chipset updates for your model, and install them.

Reset Audio Settings

  • Go to Settings > System > Sound > Advanced sound options.
  • Scroll down and click on Reset to restore the audio settings to default.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I have already tried all the solutions and none of them could solve the problem, the sound continues to be interrupted, and there are no drivers for Windows 11, I only found Windows 10 and tried to install one but it remains the same.
