envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i have a hp envy x360.  it is completely stock.  when i turn the computer on or restart the computer audio plays fine through the bang &olufsen  speakers but if the computer sits idle and the screen shuts of or the computer goes to sleep, when the computer starts back up i get an error message that the audio services have stopped and nothing will load.  no youtube no music no nothing.   the audio driver troubleshooter runs and it tells me that there are no audio services running and tells me to reboot.  i should not have to reboot the device every time i want to use this computer.  does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?  i have already reinstalled the conexant driver but i still get the same issue.  i have read through the forums and i haven't seen any fixes for the conexant driver only the realtex.  any help would b appreciated

Set Your Headphones/Internal Speakers as a Default Device

Some sound-related settings may not in good configuration. You can go to Playback devices to modify the settings.

1. Right-click the sound icon in the notification area and select Playback devices.
2. On the Sound interface, there are two devices in the list. Right-click the headphones icon and select the Properties.
3. Go to the Advanced tab.
4. Uncheck the Give exclusive mode applications priority.
5. Click the OK button.

To enable internal speakers, back to the Sound interface and right-click the speakers icon. Select the Set as Default Device.

Right-click on volume>choose playback devices>choose speakers>click properties>Enhancements>add a tick to the disable enhancements box.

Please try the steps recommended below.

Go to Windows Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers section.
In the list of audio device drivers, look for Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio. This is the device driver for BeatsAudio (a little bit sneaky, wouldn’t you say?).
Right-click and select Disable. The downward arrow displays on this driver, indicating it is disabled. (NOTE: At this point, you won’t be able to play any music files.)
Right-click and select Update Driver Software.
Select Browse my computer for driver software.
Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
You should see a window that says Select the device driver you want to install for this hardware. NOTE: If you see a window that says something like This is the best driver for this device, exit the window and repeat steps 4, 5, and 6.
In the Model box, highlight High Definition Audio Device (this is the substitute audio device driver) and click Next.
At the Update Driver Warning window, click Yes. You should see a confirmation window with High Definition Audio Device displayed. Click Close.
In the list of audio device drivers in the Sound, video and game controllers section, you’ll notice that the High Definition Audio Device now displays instead of Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio.
At the prompt to reboot, click Yes.
If the issue still persists try the steps recommended below.

Lastly, try running an audio test from F2 system diagnostics page under components test select audio test and check if the hardware components on the PC are functioning correctly.

I tried all the steps you suggested.   Everything was already in the running mode.    Also the driver on my computer for sound is the conexant driver.   I have already disabled it and looked for a updated driver but none were available.

I have run the audio trouble shooter and it doesn't do anything.

I tried all of the steps you outlined.   Nothing seems to work.   i have checked it using youtube and after about 10 minutes i get a message on youtube saying "if playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device"  the video/audio loads just will not play.   so i guess whatever service is stopping after 10 minutes also disables video and audio playback too.  i did the bios update and the audio driver update.  i also did the windows -r and made sure the services app was set on auto and running.

I just ran the audio device troubleshooter and it lists video loading errorvideo loading erroraudio trouble shooteraudio trouble shooter

I've done that already too.   Problem still happens.   It's something between windows 10 and the hp motherboard or bios.    I did a factory reset lost everything but it will not go back to windows 8 so no matter what I do I am stuck with a 1200 dollar laptop from hp that only plays audio for 10- 20 minutes between restarts
