Got the laptop now for 8-9 months.
And the sound is just getting worst.
have reinstalled the driver.
But dit not work.
I know that laptop speakers aren't that great, but it is a new laptop.
Even my old acer apire one , sounds better. and he is 4-5 years old.
What can be the problem with it?

Hi @ronaldfrederiks,
Welcome to the HP forums! It is a great way to engage, post questions and find resolutions by working with specialists in the HP community. I understand that there are audio issues with your unit. The sound is distorted. I’ll be glad to assist you. Commendable job on installing the audio drivers. It is a privilege to work with a technical specialist like yourself. Please let me know if the drivers were updated from the HP support site in your reply.
This could be a possible hardware issue with the speakers or the sound card. To isolate it correctly, you could connect a headset to the headset port of the unit to check for distortions. If there is clear audio, No further troubleshooting is required. The speakers may be faulty.
You could possibly visit this link: http://hp.care/2cqih60 to try and resolve the issue if the sound is distorted with the headset also.
Hope this helps. Please let me know how this goes. To simply say thanks for my efforts to help, please click the "Thumbs Up" button. Please remember to mark "Accept as Solution" if this helps. Thanks and have a blessed week ahead!
