Hi,
The only other suggestion I have at the moment, would be to try the older software package on the link below.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp66001-66500/sp66107.exe

Hi,
Download and reinstall the Realtek HD Audio software package on the following link - this should also reinstall the Beats gui.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72139.exe
When the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

unfortunately it does not work. Before the installation there was the beats audio program but it did not open, now after the reinstallation of the audio drivers the program has definitely disappeared .. what happens ??

Hi,
In that case, try the following.
Download the Realtek HD Audio installer on the link below again and save it to your Downloads folder.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72139.exe
When done, hold down the Windows key and press R
Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
In Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click the Realtek device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72043.exe
When the Chipset reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.
When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click on the Realtek installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, restart the notebook again and let windows fully load for a few minutes.
Open windows Control Panel and in the top right, next to View by: select 'Large Icons'. From the new layout, check if the Beats icon is now listed.

Good to hear
Regarding the other issue, right click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Sounds.
In the 'Sound scheme' dropdown menu, make sure that 'Windows Default' is selected - sounds can be customised from the 'Program Events' menu and there's also the option to enable Windows start-up sound.
Remember to click Apply and Ok to save any changes made.

"windows default" is selected. Before every sound there are a yellow triangle. I look in the windows folder and the sound are there.. but.. non associated at every system event. I have also an other problem now: windows media player doesn't run. The program is listed on windows start menu, but anithing happens if I click on. What should I do?
