Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey there, today I got my laptop (HP spectre x360) back from a repair after a fan stopped working.

And as soon as I get it back I notice that the bluetooth headset is stuttering like crazy.. It was never like this before.
- I used to be able to leave the laptop and walk around the house with no issues
- But now I cant even turn my head more than maybe 20 degrees to the left, Or even trype on the keyboard when the headset is playing, without it stuttering.

Is there any updates I can do to a bluetooth driver? I have looked around with videos and forums, but nothing seems to work?!
What can be done to resolve this issue?

Thanks.
Ruben

Hi:

What model wifi adapter does your notebook have?

That determines what Bluetooth driver you need to install.

Where do I look to find out?

HP Recommended

Go to the device manager.

Click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category.

There you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

So if I understoiod ot correctly:

WIFI: Intel(R) Dual Band wireless AC-8265..
My PC is in norwegian, so all the words and names for menus are diffrent..

That is the info I need...

This would be the latest Bluetooth driver for that model wifi adapter.

What I recommend that you do before installing the above driver would be to go to the Windows control panel>Programs>uninstall a program and if there is any Intel Bluetooth software listed there, uninstall it, restart the PC, and then install the above driver.

Didnt seem to help.
Could it be the headset that has an older verison of bluetooth?
I just took a closer look at the repair note, and  it says they did chang a "network driver" aslo..
its very vague describtion. all it say is "network driver"

It worked before I sent it of to the repair. And now, it doesnt. So it might be the culprit?!

Sorry that didn't work for you.

I guess you can update the wifi driver too, but I would be shocked if it made any difference.

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with troubleshooting Bluetooth issues, so that was the only suggestion I could offer...the latest Bluetooth driver.
