Product: hp notebook

I recently purchased bose QC earbuds. They pair and connect easily with my phone. The problem is they pair with this laptop but will not connect. When I play a video, the audio works fine on the laptop speakers but will not  connect to my new earbuds. I have called bose and Geek Squad but both said that I need HP to help. I hope someone out there can help. This lap top is a HPnotebook.
