I finally got it fixed.
You were right, it was the Intel® Smart Sound Technology (Intel® SST) Audio Controller which was had the issue.
I updated the driver which fixed the issue for me.
Thanks for your time!

Open device manager, expand the "System devices" category, find this:

then right click select properties option. In the properties window, look for the Hardware Ids section,

inform me of the hardware ID, I'll try to find it in the Microsoft Update Catalog or other driver provider servers.

its not the audio controller which is showing the icon, its the OED
but ill provide both in case thats the problem
is this the reason why my audio isnt working??

Audio controller hwid: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A348&SUBSYS_842A103C&REV_10
OED hwid: INTELAUDIO\DSP_CTLR_DEV_A348&VEN_8086&DEV_0222&SUBSYS_842A103C&REV_0010

by the way, when i installed the driver that u gave for conexant and restarted, its still installing the old version instead of the new one

Glad to hear that the Intel SST Audio Controller driver for your laptop has a newer version in the Microsoft Update Catalog😀
