@Prannesh, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding a cracking sound from speakers

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Experiencing a cracking sound from speakers can be related to various software or driver issues. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue on your HP laptop:

Update Audio Drivers

HP Support Assistant:

  • Open the HP Support Assistant on your laptop. If not installed, download it from the HP Support Assistant webpage.
  • Check for driver updates and install any available updates, specifically for audio drivers.

Device Manager:

  • Right-click the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
  • Right-click your audio device and select 'Update driver.'
  • Choose 'Search automatically for updated driver software.'

Run Windows Update

  • Ensure your operating system is up to date by running Windows Update. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for updates.

Adjust Audio Settings

Disable Audio Enhancements:

  • Right-click the speaker icon on your taskbar and select 'Sounds.'
  • Go to the Playback tab, right-click your default device, and select 'Properties.'
  • Under the Enhancements tab, check 'Disable all enhancements.'

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
