hi

my laptop is not playing any sound through the speakers (it only works when connected to a bluetooth device). I've been having this problem since I got it, but it used to get solved with audio check. Not anymore (ever since the warranty expired -amazing capitalism trick from hp??).

if I run audio check it automatically examines audio devices, then it prompts to a screen with a "test audio" button that moves for about 1/10 of a second. below that there's a "no sound" button and when I click it brings yet another screen with another test audio button. This is the one that used to do the trick, but now it doesn't even last the 4 seconds that it was before.

I've also tried running the HP hardware diagnostics, but it has brought a series of error messages:

0TVBH1-9AV9QP-GXGJ3F-21W113
0TVBH1-9AV9QT-GXGJ3F-21Q113

0TVBH1-0009QU-GXGJ3F-21VJ13

now, it gets even worse, because the microphone is not responding either. I tried to record a video with the built-in camera and got this message: 0xA00F429C<MicrophoneNotAvailable> (0xC00DABE0)

any help would be appreciated

thank you

@checo_11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I checked the failure codes you have shared, and it looks like a hardware issue.

I recommend you contact support and check the available service options for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
