f key are not working. when i press f5 to mute my computer i go back to the last page.

Hello i have a new hp comp. and when I hit the f keys for volume up or down {f6 and 7 they do not work and when i hit f5 to mute my comp. it like hitting the back button. I have uninstall the keyboard drivers and ran the hp support apps and no change
