HI @bhargav24,

welcome to HP Support Community 😀,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

(It seems your laptop's audio could use some attention. Don't worry—I’ve outlined a few steps to help you restore your sound and get everything working smoothly again.😁)

Check and Reinstall the Realtek Audio Driver
If your Realtek audio driver is causing issues, it might be time to reinstall it. Instead of relying on HP Recovery Manager, you can directly download the latest driver from the official HP Support website.

  • Go to the HP Support.
  • Enter your laptop model number or let the site automatically detect your device.
  • Find the Audio drivers section and download the latest Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver.
  • Once downloaded, run the installer to reinstall the driver and get your sound back in action.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off your laptop and unplug it from the power source.
  • Hold down the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power, then restart the laptop.

Reset BIOS to Default Settings

  • Restart your laptop and press the appropriate key (usually F10) to enter BIOS.
  • In the BIOS menu, select the option to reset to default settings.
  • Save changes and exit BIOS, then reboot your laptop.

Run the Audio Test from HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

  • Turn off your laptop.
  • Turn it back on and immediately press the ESC key to open the startup menu.
  • Press F2 to run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the Audio Test.

Update the BIOS

  • Check if there’s a new version of BIOS available for your laptop model.
  • Download the latest version from the HP support website.
  • Follow the instructions provided to update the BIOS.

Reset Your Computer

  • If the issue persists, try resetting your computer.
  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery.
  • Under Reset this PC, select Get Started and follow the prompts to reset your laptop.

NOTE: Be sure to back up any important data before proceeding.

Perform an HP System Recovery

  • If none of the previous steps resolve the issue, consider performing an HP System Recovery.
  • This will restore your laptop to its factory settings, so be sure to back up any important data before proceeding.
  • To do this, go to HP Recovery Manager and select System Recovery.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
