I am not able to mute my laptop speakers when the headphones are plugged in. I am having a HP laptop model No.HP Laptop 15-bw0xx. with AMD A9-9420 RADEON R5 64bit processor. I have already tried most of the solutions on this site but in vain. Please help me out.

I reviewed your post and I understand you are getting sound from the laptop internal speakers when a headphone is connected.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.
Go to control panel > hardware and sound > Realtek HD Audio Manager (at the bottom) > Device advanced settings (top right) and it should be on “mute the internal device when an external headphone plugged in”. Change this to the bottom one, “Make internal and external output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously”.
If you continue facing the issue, then follow the below steps.
1. Go to "Control Panel".
2. Click on "Sound".
3. Make sure you are on the "Playback" tab.
4. Click on the device you are trying to fix.
5. Now click the "Configure" button and follow the prompts. (Be sure you also click the "Test" button.)
6. Once that is complete, click the "Properties" button.
7. When you are done with your changes, in "Properties", click "Apply" and then "OK".
8. Then click "OK", again, on the main "Sound window".
NOTE: If they don't show in there, right-click on the white background of that window and make sure both "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices" is checked.
Should you still not see them, right-click on the "Speakers", only while the headphones/speakers are plugged in, and disable them. This may resolve the issue. Be sure you test that the internal speakers work again when you unplug the headphones/speakers.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
