I had some audio problems after a Windows update, I fixed those on my laptop by installing the most recent audio driver for my laptop. Now I found a new problem that is probably caused by the same update, I did not have this problem before.

When i connected my laptop to the tv, I can see the screen, but there is no audio:

The problem is specific with this tv, I connected my laptop to another tv and compared the properties:

I guess this has something to do with the no audio problem. But I can't figure out how to fix it.

I have tried:

- Restarting windows audio, no difference

- Run sfc/scannow from an Elevated Command Prompt, everything was fine, no corrupted files

- Disable all enhancements, did nothing

- Reinstalled my audio drivers again, still not fixed

Is there maybe a way to delete this 'tv connection' on my laptop so it reinstalls correctly when i reconnect with my tv? Do I need to update another dirver, like for the hdmi port or something?

Or if you just know how to fix this, please help me. I could use some good advice.

PS: just to be clear, this still worked fine some weeks ago. A system restore is unfortunately not an option anymore, there is no restore point before that update.

Apparently the HDMI audio driver is part of the video card driver. So by installing the AMD High-Definition (HD) graphic driver, the problem was solved.

Hi,

Can you try to update BIOS first then check if everything will work fine after installing BIOS.
