Hi @Bhanus,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing low volume from your speakers despite setting them to 100%, there are several possible causes and solutions to explore:

1. Check Sound Settings

  • Volume Mixer: Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and select Open Volume Mixer. Ensure that the volume is up for all applications and system sounds.
  • App Volume: Make sure that individual app volumes are not set too low.

2. Check Playback Device Settings

  • Default Playback Device: Go to Settings > System > Sound > Advanced sound options > App volume and device preferences. Ensure that the correct playback device is set to default.
  • Playback Device Properties: Right-click the sound icon, select Open Sound settings, then Sound Control Panel. In the Playback tab, select your playback device, click Properties, and check the levels.

3. Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers

  • Update Drivers: Go to Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers, right-click on your audio device, and select Update driver. Choose to search automatically for updated driver software.
  • Reinstall Drivers: If updating doesn’t help, try reinstalling the drivers. Right-click on the audio device in Device Manager, select Uninstall device, then restart your computer to let Windows reinstall the drivers automatically.

4. Check Audio Enhancements

  • Disable Enhancements: Sometimes audio enhancements can affect volume. Go to Sound Control Panel, right-click your playback device, select Properties, go to the Enhancements tab, and check Disable all enhancements.

5. Check Physical Connections

  • Speaker Connections: Ensure that the speakers are properly connected to the computer and that cables are securely plugged in.
  • Volume Control on Speakers: If your speakers have a physical volume control, make sure it is turned up.

6. Check for Software Conflicts

  • Background Applications: Close any applications that might be using audio or interfering with sound settings.
  • Clean Boot: Perform a clean boot to determine if background software is affecting sound volume.

7. Adjust Sound Balance

  • Balance Settings: Go to Sound Control Panel, right-click your playback device, select Properties, and go to the Levels tab. Click on Balance and ensure that the balance is set equally for left and right channels.

8. Run Windows Troubleshooter

  • Audio Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters, and select Playing Audio. Run the troubleshooter and follow any recommendations.

9. Check for System Updates

  • Windows Updates: Make sure your system is up to date by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and checking for updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
