when I use the built-in mic it remains hot even after I leave the app. I have to disable the mic in settings to turn it off.

Additionally, when recording on 'sound recorder' I hear my voice while recording.

Thank you. Under Disable Microphone Playback I went to properties and turned off Audio Enhancements. That seems to have solved the feedback and hot mic problems.

hmm, I'm curious about the enhancement used for the mic on your laptop.

Unfortunately, in the audio driver information for your laptop, there is no information about the hardware ID of the sound card driver.

HP Recommended

Realtek driver version 6.0.9686.1

Is that what you're looking for?

HP Recommended

More precisely, the hardware ID, so that I know the Audio Mic Enhancement.

Like my sound card hardware ID is FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0236, using mic enhancement from Realtek APO (AudioProcessingObject) version 2 with hardware ID VEN_10EC&AID_0011.

Is this what you're looking for?

Device INTELAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0245&SUBSYS_103C8CB4&REV_1000\5&e045365&0&0001 was configured.
