  1. Check Hardware Connections:

    • If you use an external microphone, verify that it is securely connected to the appropriate port.
  2. Audio Settings:

    • Access the audio settings by right-clicking on the speaker icon in the system tray and selecting "Open Sound settings."
    • Under "Input," ensure your microphone is selected as the default input device.
  3. Microphone Privacy Settings:

    • Navigate to the Windows "Settings" and click on "Privacy."
    • Under "Microphone," make sure that microphone access for this device is turned on, and that apps can access your microphone.
  4. Device Manager:

    • Open "Device Manager" by right-clicking the Start button and selecting "Device Manager."
    • Expand "Audio inputs and outputs," find your microphone, right-click it, and choose "Update driver."
    • Restart your laptop after updating the driver to check if the issue is resolved.
  5. Sound Troubleshooter:

    • Use the Windows built-in troubleshooter by going to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot."
