Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

The microphone suddenly stopped being multi directional.  I can now only get the microphone to work by being directly in front of the laptop. This is causing a problem in my music lessons where I play a backing track through one separate room speaker and my musical instrument in the same room. Is the problem because the Bang &Olufsen app has been removed?  I note from another post that the B&O app is no longer available.  How do I resolve the problem with the built in microphone?  I tried updating to Windows 11 but that did not solve the issue.
