Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello:

Using HP pavillon w/10 and Edge as the browser (yeah, i know..edge), anyway just recently after MS load approx 2wks ago, my MUTE/VOLUME OFF/ON indicator light stopped working. My capp lock light works, but not the MUTE/VOL light.
Any idea how i can get it back to 'normal'.

THANKS

Hi,

Try the following.

Hold down the Windows key and press R

Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.

In Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the Realtek device and select Uninstall device - Do not enter a check mark in the box to remove the current driver and proceed with the uninstall.

When this has completed, click on 'Action' in the toolbar and select 'Scan for hardware changes'.

Give this a minute or so to complete and then check the funtion of the mute led.

Regards,

DP-K
