It sounds like your PC is having trouble recognizing devices through the audio jack and Bluetooth because of driver issues. This usually happens when drivers are outdated, corrupted, or not properly installed. Here’s how you can fix it step by step:

1. Check Audio Jack

  • Make sure the device (headphones/speakers) works on another system to confirm it’s not faulty.

  • Plug it in firmly and test with different ports if available (some PCs have separate mic/headphone jacks).

2. Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers

  1. Press Win + X → Device Manager.

  2. Expand Sound, video, and game controllers.

  3. Right-click your audio driver (e.g., Realtek, Intel, etc.) → Update driver.

  4. If update doesn’t work, uninstall the driver → restart your PC → Windows will reinstall it automatically.

  5. (Optional) Visit your PC/laptop manufacturer’s website and download the latest audio drivers.

3. Fix Bluetooth Driver Issues

  1. Go to Device Manager again.

  2. Expand Bluetooth.

  3. Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter → Update driver.

  4. If the issue continues, uninstall the driver and restart.

  5. Make sure Bluetooth Support Service is running:

    • Press Win + R → services.msc.

    • Find Bluetooth Support Service → Right-click → Start/Restart.

4. Run Windows Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot → Additional troubleshooters.

  • Run both Playing Audio and Bluetooth troubleshooters.

5. Windows Update

  • Sometimes missing system updates cause driver problems.

  • Go to Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update and install all pending updates.

After doing these steps, your audio jack and Bluetooth drivers should start working properly.
