hi my computer seems to have glitched out and deleted its high-definition audio drive, and it doesn't seem to be on your drives page. are there any substitutes?

I'm pasting my answer to this below:
I found the issue. If you are experiencing the same problem as me, open Device Manager and expand the System Devices drop-down. The issue was an outdated Intel Smart Sound Driver it seems and once that was updated the problem was fixed.
Hope this helps someone else as well.
In general it seems best to look for other outdated drivers first and that should fix it. Hope it helps.

The only other thing I can think of is attempting to a rollback on the update. If you go to setting you should see 'Windows Update' or something similar, click on it then on 'View Update History' there should be an option uninstall updates. I'll keep looking for other solutions if it doesn't work. Hope it helps.
