Hi @nitin117

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the audio on your HP Pavilion 14 laptop. Here are some general troubleshooting steps you can follow to try to resolve the audio problem:

Troubleshooting Audio Issues

Check Volume Levels:

  • Ensure that the volume on your laptop and any connected audio devices (like speakers or headphones) is turned up and not muted.

Check Audio Output:

  • Click on the speaker icon in your taskbar to make sure the correct playback device is selected, especially if you use multiple audio output devices.

Update Audio Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and navigate to the software and driver downloads section.
  • Enter your laptop model to find compatible drivers.
  • Download and install the latest audio drivers available.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Right-click on the sound icon in the taskbar and select 'Troubleshoot sound problems'. Follow the on-screen instructions to identify and fix the issue.

Check Audio Device Manager:

  • Type "Device Manager" in the taskbar search box and select it.
  • Expand the 'Sound, video, and game controllers' section.
  • Right-click on your audio device and select 'Update driver'.
  • If updating doesn't help, you can also try selecting 'Uninstall device' and then restarting your laptop to let Windows reinstall it automatically.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your Windows operating system is up-to-date, as updates can include fixes for various hardware issues.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
