suddenly my laptop has no sound
there's a red x besides the audio icon and it says "no audio output device is installed"
I've tried everything I found on the internet to solve this problem, uninstalling, restarting, etc.
I also try reinstalling the intel graphics driver like an expert suggests in another forum board
it's still not working and I can't install it manually
please someone help me, I really need the audio working for me to do my work

Apparently the problem was caused by the latest windows update, and some of my friends are also affected.
My friend and Microsoft Supports gave me this fix https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026994/windows-10-fix-sound-problems
I did that to the intel high definition audio that has the exclamation mark on it.
the high definition audio device stated in the fix is under microsoft tab

That probably due to Windows updates. Re-install driver should help. Please try
(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp89001-89500/sp89052.exe
(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.
Regards.
