Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy 17-da0000 laptop has no sound on Windows 11, here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and fix the issue:

Basic Checks First

  1. Check Volume Level
    • Click the speaker icon on the taskbar.
    • Make sure the volume is not muted or very low.
  2. Try Different Audio Sources
    • Play a YouTube video or MP3.
    • Try plugging in headphones—do they work?
  3. Check for External Device Override
    • If you recently used Bluetooth headphones or HDMI output, the audio might still be routed there.
    • Go to Settings > System > Sound and under "Choose where to play sound," make sure your internal speakers are selected.

Troubleshooting Steps

Step 1: Run Windows Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  2. Click Run next to Playing Audio.

Step 2: Check Sound Output Device

  1. Right-click the speaker icon > Sound settings.
  2. Under "Output," make sure Speakers (Realtek/Intel Audio/etc.) is selected.

Step 3: Update/Reinstall Audio Drivers

  1. Right-click Start > Device Manager.
  2. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers".
  3. Right-click your audio device (e.g., Realtek, Intel Smart Sound) > click Update driver.
  4. Choose Search automatically for drivers.
  5. If it doesn’t help, choose Uninstall device, then restart your laptop to reinstall the driver.

Step 4: Reinstall Audio via HP Support

  1. Visit the HP Envy 17-da0000 Drivers page.
  2. Download and install the latest:
    • Realtek High Definition Audio Driver
    • Intel Smart Sound Technology driver (if listed)
  3. Also, install HP Support Assistant for automatic driver updates.

Optional: BIOS/UEFI Audio Check

  1. Restart your laptop and tap F10 to enter BIOS.
  2. Check if the audio device is listed under System Configuration > Built-in Device Options.
  3. Make sure audio is enabled.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
