Hi:

 

Your PC is was only supported by HP for Windows Vista and Windows XP.

 

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to see if installing the Windows Vista audio driver for your dv9208nr notebook gets the sound to work again.

 

Restart the PC after installing the driver.
