HP ProBook 6470b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

After performing a factory reset on my HP ProBook 6470b, my laptop did not emit any sound. The sound icon on the toolbars showed a red cross and displayed "No audio output device is installed".

I checked in the Device Manager, I saw that only the Intel(R) Display Audio was listed in the "sound, video and game controllers". I tried to disable, uninstall and update the drivers but I still got any sound from the laptop.

Have you ever seen this mistake? How is it possible that there is no device installed while the device manager shows the Intel(R) Display Audio device.

Many thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Please try the following software/drive.

          https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71886.exe

or older (because your machine is a little bit old):

          http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.exe

Regards.
