My work docking station is a Dell that I connect to my HP Envy laptop so that I can utilize two monitors. Recently, when I connect it via USB-C, the audio stops working. When I click into the audio settings it says "No audio devices found". This has never happened before. I have updated drivers of every audio function and restarted the computer several times. When I run the troubleshooting diagnostics, the sound plays for a moment during the test, but then immediately goes away. When I connect bluetooth headphones or speakers, the same issues exists. I am lost as to what options are next short of replacing the sound card, maybe?

It seems like the problem is with the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controllers Driver or Universal Serial Bus (USB) Root Hub Driver.
Looking at your problem there are 2:
- sound via bluetooth
- sound via USB (midi function)
I once asked one of the experts here if there was a USB Controller driver or USB Root Hub driver is in the chipset driver.
Install your chipset driver here.
