Can't get sound driver to work with the softpaq sp142821 on this machine. Hard to even download cause it's blocked by windows. Tried it in Windows 11 aswell same problem. Tried to download Realtek driver from Realtek, works halfway.
the id is: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9DC8&SUBSYS_854A103C&REV_11
Can you help me get the sound to work. I've tried it on 2 computers, same problem.

Please perform a clean install
(a) Download the following software and save on your machine
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp142501-143000/sp142821.exe (you may download already)
(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.
Regards.

After trying a couple of Reltek drivers on Intels homepade, I Downloaded the privoues version (sp135924) from HP and that one worked. It seems as I suspected that the new version sp142821 is corrupt. I've now sound on a Windows 10 machine, will try later on a Win 11 aswell.
Regards
