The HP ProBook 450 GO notebook uses the following driver for windows 8.1

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp65001-65500/sp65011.exe

If you get an error message installing the driver please report it.

In addition to the volume control on the desktop provided by windows, the app you are using may have its own volume control that works independently of the OS one.

There is (may) also a volume mixer that controls sound level for System sounds.  Are all sound low volume or just the system sounds?

Your system should also have  stereo settings.  Possibly the sound setting for left and right channel need to be adjusted.

I do not have your 450 G0 notebook nor do I have any win8.1 systems so I am guessing as to the problem.  Please consider using the still free upgrade to windows 10
