To fix the issue with your internal speakers on the HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg1000, follow these steps:

Step 1: Check Audio Settings

  1. Check the volume: Ensure that the volume is not muted and is turned up.
  2. Default Playback Device: Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and select Open Sound Settings. In the Output section, make sure your internal speakers are selected as the default device.

  1. Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to Update & Security.
  3. Select Troubleshoot from the left menu.
  4. Click on Additional troubleshooters.
  5. Find and run the Playing Audio troubleshooter.

Step 3: Update Audio Drivers

Sometimes, Windows Update can fetch better driver versions:

  1. Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
  3. Right-click your audio device, and select Update driver.
  4. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Step 4: Reinstall Audio Drivers Using HP Support Assistant

HP Support Assistant can help detect and fix driver issues:

  1. If you don't have HP Support Assistant installed, download it from HP.
  2. Open HP Support Assistant.
  3. Go to the My Device section and select Updates.
  4. Check for any updates related to the audio driver and install them.
