Example: Pavilion 6530HPSpectre 360 15T
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

today quite suddenly the speakers on my HP stopped working, inclusing headphone. when sound is own I can hear the screech sound of speakers not connect.  I went through everything recommended ; update driver, uninstall reinstall driver, re-update BIOS, remove all accessories, go thru the Advance tab of speaker properties and change the various things reco'd. rebooted each time, and alas, it is still like the speakers are not connected.

The laptop lives on a desk and rarely moves, I cannot point to any external abuse.

Realtek High Definition Audio(SST) with latest driver RTKVHD64.sys  version  6.0.9126.1

My life is on Zoom. How to fix this?!

Thanks!

Hi, Thanks for replying. My last resort was the restore point and it seems to have solved the problem. I am worried now about future updates...
