Hi

I hear squeak or noise in the headphones or external speakers, when something is connected to the USB-port.  The headphone jack and two USB-ports  are nearby.  If I connect a mouse to any USB port, I hear a squeak. And if I connect an external hard drive to any USB port, I hear a noise.

I have new laptop and it was from the beginning start using.

Could you help me, please?
I would be very grateful for your help. (And sorry for my English)

Thanks

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I understand that the headphones or speakers are making a static noise when you connect something to the USB ports.

I'd like to help.

This seems to be an issue with static charge and that is why whenever you connect something in the USB ports you hear a Squeaky noise

I suggest you update the BIOS on your Notebook and check if that helps.

Please click this Link: https://hp.care/2pxJYAe to download the BIOS

If the issue persists, please contact our Phone Support for Service Options

Step 1. Open link: https://hp.care/2moMFSc
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.

Keep me posted how it goes and if you need further assistance

Thank you 🙂
