Hi @Riley59,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It looks like the audio control option in the MyHP app on your HP Spectre x360 may have been removed or hidden due to a software update or a change in the settings. Here are a few steps you can follow to try and restore the audio control feature.
Check for Updates:
- MyHP App Update: Ensure that your MyHP application is up to date. Sometimes, updates can cause features to temporarily disappear, but they may be reintroduced in later updates.
- Windows Update: Check for any pending updates for Windows that may have altered or removed the audio control feature.
To check for updates:
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and click Check for updates.
Reinstall or Reset the MyHP App:
- If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the MyHP app.
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features, find MyHP, and click Uninstall. Then reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.
Check Audio Settings in the Control Panel:
- Even if the MyHP app has lost the audio control option, you can still manage your audio settings through the system settings.
- Right-click the sound icon in the system tray, select Open Sound settings, and adjust your audio preferences.
- You may also want to check the HP Audio Control application, if available, from the Start Menu to manage more advanced audio settings.
Reinstall Audio Drivers:
- Sometimes, audio-related features may disappear due to driver issues.
- Go to Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers, right-click your audio driver (e.g., Realtek or Conexant), and select Uninstall device. After that, restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the necessary driver.
Check for HP Audio Control App:
- The HP Audio Control app may be available separately from the MyHP app. If you don’t have it, search for it in the Microsoft Store.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
