Product: zbook G5

Hi, Just bought a used hp zbook G5. The headphone/external speaker jack doesn't work.  I have not found a way to diagnose the cause, as all troubleshooters seem to be for audio signal only. The audio works on the internal speaker,but the system doesn't recognize output devices and send sound to them.

Thanks for answering. Neither earphones nor speakers worked. After days of frustrating research and trying all kinds of things with no progress, windows did an update for .NET framework .I guess that changed something relevant, because after it, the external jack started working. I never cease to be amazed at how difficult issues can spontaneously resolve.
