Hp 15-n034ca. Power brick light is steady. When I try to boot the laptop, the screen remains black. The pc is technically running though, I can hear it and the fan running, but no beeps. The only thing other than the running sound, is that the power light on the power button and the f6 key flash in unison for maybe 1 or 2 seconds, and then off for at least 5 seconds. Then the cycle of off on continues. Tried hard reset, power drain and reseating/replacing ram. I can't find any reference to that "code" so far. Other cases talk about the caps/numlock key flashing for codes

@Threepeak

Welcome to forums,

I understand it seems like the device is running but there's no display on the screen and the light on the power adapter/brick keeps steady while the light on the F6 and power button blinks every few seconds.

The best thing to do in your scenario is to check with an alternate/external monitor to check if that has a display, while you do that, I'd like to know if this is the first time you've noticed the F6 key blink or was it doing that while the device was powering on as well?

And could you tell me what exactly, does the the F6 key represent on your keyboard? as I see it as the mute button! Also, try connecting the laptop directly to another wall outlet after a hard reset:
