HP Notebook - 15-db0023nw

After BIOS update to F.40 rev. A my laptop won't boot from SSD ADATA LEGEND 700.

notebook 15-db0023nw.

Starts only from external drive, eg. USB

There is no way to roll back BIOS to previous version 😞

Maybe programming BIOS wih CH341a helps?

Hi @DoubleMan1971,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

I recommend you unplug/remove the external drive and restart your PC and see how it goes.

Also, help me with the screenshots if there are any errors.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Did you read what I wrote???
I clearly wrote that the laptop only boots from external drives.
After a BIOS update to f..king version F.40 rev. A, it no longer boots from the internal SSD ADATA LEGEND 700.
Sometimes, you receive an error code 0xC00000E9.

There might be a way to restore the BIOS by disconnecting the power source, inserting a USB drive with a BIOS file, holding the [Win] + B keys, connecting the power source, pressing the power button, and allowing the laptop to restore the BIOS from the USB drive.
However, it's unsre of the file name for the BIOS file, as there are several possible options, such as bios.rom, BIOS.rom, BIOS.fd, Crisis.fd, 084AE.bin, 084AE.rom, or 084AE.fd.

I extracted the 084AE.bin file from the BIOS update file and used the HP BIOS DECRYPT TOOL to decrypt it
but unsure what name of the file should be.

That's all, and nobody here will help anyway, this forum is only for amateurs.
