15-dw1083wm won't power on after BIOS update

HP Recommended
15-dw1083wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Brand new out of the box 15-dw1083wm won't power on after BIOS update - or during BIOS update

It was doing the required initial BIOS update.  At some point in that process, the thing powered off and now will not power up.

Power light is on. it's on the cord.  NOTHING!

It's brand new!

Just return it?

What?

And  please don't tell me I have to dissect a brand-new machine. I"ve never opened a laptop.

I see that the Notebook is not working. Do you see a light on the power button?

Do you hear the fan sound when you push the power button?

Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue - No Power or no Boot

If the issue persists, it could be a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
