Hi Everyone, I'm having issues with my laptop not charging my battery.  When checking the command line in linux of the battery it shows "charging" and 0 volts.

My BIOS is no where close to the most recent and wanted to give updating it a try.  How do I create a USB BIOS flash?  I tried on my desktop with the HP Bios tool but it seems to just want to try to install these notebook bios on my ASUS desktop board and thats not helping.

Thank you for all your help

@Forklift-Kevin7,

See the post below. Linux users created a BIOS recovery usb drive and used the recovery procedure (press Win and B keys) to successfully update BIOS from the usb drive.

The installed recovery utility on the usb drive is less than 200 MB. Avoid using a newer bigger usb drive with such as 128 or 64 GB, as it may not work well with the recovery system. See the link to HP BIOS recovery article in the post above for detailed instructions.
