Hello,

My laptop screen just turned black while using and now when I try to reboot it the fan turns on and the caps lock blinks 3.5 times.(3 slow blinks and 5 fast blinks).

What can I do to get it working normally again or at least recover the data from my laptop?

Any help will be highly appreciated

Thank you in advance.

Sorry for the bad news, but according to the HP blink codes, this error means the following:

3.5 (blink)
Hardware
The CPU is not detected.
Contact support for repair due to system board or CPU failure.

This means the CPU has died or the motherboard has failed -- and fixing that could easily cost more than just replacing the laptop.
