Pavilion 15 CC series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For last 2-3 days facing

3F0 boot error

Boot drive failure / cannot be located

Actions taken :

1)

F2 - quick harddisk check  ( Passed)

F11 - not loading

F10-   in bios restored default F9 and exit with changes

2)

F2

F10 - this time changed Legacy Support to Enabled

However when I exit and restart , I get enter code screnn, after that the boot failure press any key to continue error

3)

After repeated attempts of step 1 I eventually manage to get in , after which I have done Disk Error check for C drive without any issues.

I have even used Seagate tool checker to test my C drive which is SSD ( 128 gb) and other HDD

I have run Smart test, short generic , short drive self test

All of them passed

But if I restart , I again get the boot drive not found error and have to go through the pain again.

Unfortunately cannot do factory reset because then I would lose important software like MS Office which I cannot lose for another month or two.

What to do 😔

I do not see any mention of using backup software to preserve the needed data.  I would suggest that to be the first step before all is lost.  There are many backup solutions, besides Microsoft backup built-in to Windows, but the choice is yours.  Many use free solutions or I prefer Acronis True Image.  Here is a list of choices
