Microsoft Windows 11

Hello I would like to find a solution to fix this error. Whenever I boot my HP pavilion x360 14-dw1000, it says boot device not found, please install an operating system into the hard disk. However I recently clean installed Windows 11 and it usually does not display that error code. I also found other tutorials on YouTube ,but they didn’t work on the bios. Do I have to reset/clean install my windows 11 or is there any other ways to fix this? If possible without resetting or clean installing windows 11 on my pc, that would be great.

Hi, the error is coming up most likely because of the Windows 11 operating system. Windows 11 is still in early development and when you go through most websites and forums you will see they advise that we should hold on before upgrading to Windows 11 due to driver incompatibility, hardware issues, and driver errors.

I know you said you don't want to do a clean install at the moment but the smart choice right now will be to roll back to Windows 10 or the previous operating system that you were using which was working.

That error could be the hard drive has failed.  If that is the case, then run the Diagnostics routine to verify if that has happened.

To run the Diagnostics routine, Start tapping the Esc key BEFORE starting the PC and then press the start button.
Keep tapping the Esc key until a popup menu shows. Then pick Diagnostics from that popup menu, F2.
Report back with the results.
