Hi @Kalkei8892,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "3F0" error message typically indicates a problem with the hard drive or storage device in your HP laptop. In your case, it seems you have an eMMC (embedded MultiMediaCard) storage, which is a type of flash storage commonly used in laptops and other devices. The flickering screen issue could be a separate problem, or it might be related to the storage issue causing the error message.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the "3F0" error message and the screen flickering issue.

  • Check Connections: Ensure that the eMMC storage module is properly connected to the laptop's motherboard. Sometimes, loose connections can lead to such issues. If you're comfortable, you might want to open up the laptop (if it's not under warranty) and check the connections.
  • Hard Reset: Perform a hard reset on your laptop. This involves turning off the laptop, disconnecting all external devices, removing the battery (if possible), and holding the power button down for around 15 seconds. Then, reconnect the battery (if removed), plug in the power adapter, and try turning on the laptop again.
  • BIOS/UEFI Settings: Access your laptop's BIOS/UEFI settings and check if the eMMC storage is recognized by the system. If it's not, this could be the source of the "3F0" error. You might want to try resetting the BIOS settings to default and see if that resolves the issue.
  • Data Corruption: It's possible that the data on the eMMC storage has become corrupted. If you have important data on it, you might need to recover the data using specialized data recovery software. If data recovery isn't necessary, you could try reinstalling the operating system on the eMMC storage.
  • System Diagnostics: Some HP laptops come with built-in diagnostics tools. You can access these tools by pressing a specific key combination during startup. Run a system diagnostic test to check for hardware issues, including problems with the eMMC storage.
  • Screen Flickering: If the screen flickering persists, it might be due to a hardware issue or a graphics driver problem. Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
