@Fe7561, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're encountering the ACPI BIOS ERROR (0xc0000001) on your HP Pavilion 15-ab126la, and you're currently on BIOS version F.54. This issue can be frustrating, especially when you're unable to access Windows.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Disconnect the AC adapter and remove any external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  3. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the AC adapter (without any peripherals) and try turning on the laptop.

BIOS Recovery Using Key Combination

If the system still doesn't boot, try recovering the BIOS:

Option A: Windows + B

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press and hold the Windows key + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2–3 seconds.
  3. Release the Power button but continue holding Windows + B for another 10 seconds.
  4. If successful, the screen may flash and initiate BIOS recovery.

Option B: Windows + V

If the above doesn’t work, try:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press and hold Windows key + V, then press and hold the Power button.
  3. After 30 seconds, release the Power button first, then the other keys.

Repeat each method up to 3 times if needed.

Create a BIOS Recovery USB (from another PC)

If BIOS recovery via key combo fails, you can create a recovery USB:

  1. On another working PC, go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
  2. Enter your product: HP Pavilion 15-ab126la.
  3. Download the latest BIOS (F.54 or earlier if available).
  4. Use the HP BIOS Update utility to create a recovery USB.
  5. Insert the USB into your affected laptop and repeat the Windows + B or Windows + V recovery steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I started to get "Blue screen of death issue with stop code: ACPI_BIOS_ERROR" after updating Insta360 STUDIO windows software(https://www.insta360.com/download/insta360-x3) which requested for restart after its update.

1. Perform a Hard Reset - Didnt work
2. BIOS Recovery Using Key Combination
During all these BIOS updates, ends up at Blue screen of death with below error code
"Recovery. Your PC couldn't start properly.
After multiple tries, the operating system on your PC failed to start, so it needs to be repaired.
Error code: 0x0000001
You'll need to use recovery tools, if you dont have any installation media(like a disc or USB device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer."
3. Create a BIOS Recovery USB (from another PC). I could not find the software or driver for my product. It says "There is no software or driver available for the product."

Really appreciate your help here.

Thanks,

To be honest, this solution could be works for other users. But I think the problem is with the OS. Unfortunately, after the update, the blue screen of the problem ACPI BIOS ERROR (0xc0000001)  returns.

I appreciate your support. Thank you.
