Thanks David, and I apologise for taking a while. I'm grateful for your ongoing replies, and reluctantly I have had to disable this security.
Do you know how do I put in a feature/bug suggestion to the HP team working on the BIOS? (Although you say this is by design, I'd argue it's poor design as it can damage a computer!!!)
