I bought this barebones laptop from Fingerhut just under a year ago and it is just now asking for an Administrator Password or Power On Password. We have never set on up & HP tech support advised this was not a warranty issue & wants over $300 to have me ship it to them for repairs? No way! It looks like others have had this issue fixed on here. After 3 unsuccessful passwords I get system disabled with [ i 51937280]

Thank you, that worked and system is performing an update as we speak. Does this password remain permanent or is this something I should go into the bios and change?
